Description
I'm a big fan of old Sapolin products to begin with (they sold little bottles of gold paint for Japanning in terrific dome-lidded turned wooden boxes that I always grab when I find them)
black and white reproduction of art works
I believe this vintage Native American (Northwest Coast or Alaskan) carved bone letter opener dates to the 1930s or 1940s
called Hediao
The box is pretty beaten up
Brass Impish Bearded Man Door Knocker shawl I'm a big fan ofI'm not exactly sure the origins of this impish bearded character, who looks a bit Scandanavian to me, but certainly he makes a fun little door knocker, I believe intended for an interior door. Sure to keep unwanted visitors at bay! He's definitely got some years on him but is in great condition with a nice patina. 3 1 8" tall x 1 1 2" wide x 1" thick.
