It is made in Japan in the same way that Samauri Swords are made by laminating many payers of steel together. The handles are 1 1 4 in x 5 8 in oblong Japanese White Oak and the unfinished wood is very comfortable to hold. The handles are 3 3 4 in long and are canted off the straight blade at a 45 degree angle. Specifications Overall
