Description
sweet pipe tobacco and leather are some of the nuances that emerge from the 2014 Barbaresco Pajè
Humbrecht considers it a classic vintage for (in most instances dry-tasting) Gewurztraminer
this is not quite as ripe as the Criots and is moderately more elegant too with a white peach
The full-bodied palate is densely packed with tightly wound black and blue fruit layers
Like several wines in the range this is not especially complex at present but my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that much more will develop with time in bottle
Colombier, Hermitage Blanc other_regions_australia sweet pipe tobacco and leatherLight, bright straw yellow. A deeply perfumed bouquet evokes pear and peach nectar, honey, vanilla, toasted almond and smoky minerals. Rich and fleshy but lively as well, offering sappy orchard, pit fruit and marzipan flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes chewy, focused and long, with lingering pear, honey notes and a hint of anise. Josh Raynolds
