The box is pretty beaten up

First generation Plains Indian drawings from the second half of the 19th century

and just got two more in

which definitely shows some use

Handsome U.S. Bugle Boy in Blue, Pencil, Ink and Watercolor Drawing tasting spoon 9" tall x 9 1/4"I believe this drawing likely dates to the 1940s, and that our bugler wears a U. S. Navy uniform the hat at least sure looks Navy to me, and U. S. is written on the pocket of his rucksack. I just love the manner of the drawing, and especially the rendering of his face in profile, with outlined hat on top and ear framed by the line of his black hair, and then this big hand holding his trumpet to his mouth with tassels like teardrops painted in this
