I first picked up this drawing because I just loved the look of the carriage

which looks like it wants to jump up into her lap

The colors in images are fairly close to accurate but photos don't really do the print justice

This unglazed clay woman has some of that aspect to her for sure, and was definitely made by an amateur, maybe a young student. But I also find her rather elegant, and wonderfully posed poised with those slab like legs feet revealed at the end of her skirt making it feel as though she's very firmly grounded and forever planted,
