Nicely Carved Antique Boot Shaped Vesta, A Pair hand-painted pottery vase and lovelyI love an old carved old shoe or boot, and even better to have a pair with heels! Hollowed out inside, these I believe were carved of walnut and made to use as vesta (match holders), and I think they likely date to the 19th century. Very nicely carved and super sculptural, as if there were feet squeezed inside! Not tiny: each measures approx 3 3 4" t x 2 3 4" l x 1 3 16: w. Very good condition, with one tiny nick along the edge of the toe on one of
