1874 Oyster Painted Treen Egg Bank finch and the surface a ratherI'd guess this coin bank was made as a gift to celebrate the birth of the year 1874, but I suppose it could have been made for Easter, perhaps with the 1874 scratched into the paint as a sort of afterthought. I'm not sure but what's better than an egg to hold every possibility?! In beautiful old paint as rich in color as a fresh laid farm egg.
