There is a distinct sense of restraint to the moderately austere
This is structured and firm but beautifully balanced and should drink well relatively early
dried orange peel and a wide array of floral elements
finishing long and energetic
in a somehow more baroque way
Yann Chave, Hermitage Vintage:2010 There is a distinct senseIntense butcher's shop aromas, with smoked meat and a touch of VA. Powerful but not overly full in the mouth, the tannins are still chiselled and serrated. Piercing acidity runs through it to a very long, powerful finish. It's ready now, but will age with real interest. Really fabulous, growling and energetic an Hermitage in wolf's clothing.
