Sleeping Dog at the Edge of the Rug, Irregularly Cut Antique Tintype Photo found text burl base approx 5 3/8"Perhaps this tintype of sweetly sleeping dog was cut down from a full plate image, I'm not totally sure; it's a bit irregular in shape and one can just see the edge of a what I take for a skirt and shoe along the right edge. Whatever the case, a pretty charming portrait of cozy contentment, and perhaps a good reminder to just be lazy sometimes! I especially love the uneven cut of the rug or mat along the front edge, revealing the wood floor below
