Description
these are the oldest vines in the Jadot portfolio of owned vineyards)
with redcurrant and delicate coffee flavors showing good sweetness and plenty of early appeal
Finishes with chalky tannins and a continuing element of greenness
the yields are so low and the vines so exposed that Bachelet says that he always harvests this parcel first)
This is also very ripe but not roasted or jammy though the nose does have a liqueur-like character from the cassis
Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay other_regions_italy these are the oldest vines(exclusively from Les Grands Champs as Les Pluchots was recently replanted). A more elegant nose speaks of cool and refined aromas of plum, dark currant and lovely spice wisps. There is better density to the more powerful and serious medium weight flavors where the slightly warm finish is notably firmer. At least some patience advised.
