The burial ‘dolls’ were made of woven fabric
with a few very tiny (barely noticeable) chips in the lacquer on its body on one side and a tiny bit of loss of lacquer around the very bottom edge of the base--none of which I think detract from the vase overall
this would make a spectacular table runner
Local artisans gather up these remnants and use them to create dolls like this
and absolutely it was made with great skill
