To pull the tape back in after stretching it out to measure, you put your fingers in the rotary and turn, like dialing an old phone, which one rather misses! I find combo of dark green case and yellow tape pretty satisfying too! Measuring tape extends 50 feet. Case measures 3 3 8" in diameter x 7 8" deep. Light rusting but looks and works great. C. 1950s 60s.
