A little paint loss here and there and a little splitting to the surface of the wood

At first I thought this was made of concrete due to its whitish crusty surface

stamped 1890

I purchased this one from a great dealer at Brimfield

Old Handmade Stool with Great Lines in Glorious Original Blue Paint master key to me just completely gorgeousAmong my favorite stools I've found, in no small part due to this fantastic original blue paint, but also for the its graceful form and lightness on its feet and the not quite perfectly rounded arches cut into its sides. And everything looks pretty sitting atop it. 15" l x 7 1 2" w x 8" t. Earlyish 20th c. I would guess, better in person, sturdy and sound and level.
