Pages are held together with greenish thread pulled through two small holes in the paper and tied in a bow
From a second batch of drawings by the prolific and endlessly inventive Chicago artist James Frederic Bone (1929-2015): I think "Talent" is the perfect title for this 1961 ink drawing--amplifying the proudness and look-at-me aspect of this harlequin-esque performer
and many pages feature the page number hand-written next to the printed one
the form wonderfully graphic and sculptural
that’s how I see it
Moody Young Athlete with Ribbon on Chest, Old Snapshot Photo victorian sailor Pages are held together withI just love this young man, looking awkward and a bit unhappy, but I think that frown veiling the fact that he actually felt quite proud of the ribbon pinned to his chest! With those muscular legs, I take him for a runner and this photo makes me think of the loneliness of a long distance one! Feels like he wants company. 3 1 2" x 2 1 2" and in very good condition, c. 1940s or so, I believe.
