The 2014 Barbaresco sees fruit sourced from the lower part of the Asili cru with some smaller amounts from Rabajà
Clos de la Baronne and Luraule plus the usual declassified juice from young vines Genevrières and Charmes)
with very fine raisin flavors that fill the whole aftertaste
On the palate
dry and balanced finale where a touch of bitter lemon character slowly emerges
David Duband, Chambertin Vintage:2014 The 2014 Barbaresco sees fruit(from a . 22 ha parcel). A subtle application of wood easily allows the softly spicy array of game, underbrush and cool red berry scents to shine. There is excellent volume and power to the mineral driven broad shouldered flavors that deliver huge length on the explosive finish that also displays a hint of warmth. This is impressive but perhaps slightly less well balanced than either the Charmes or the Latricires. (91 94) 2029+
