and probably once a leather strap attached to the base

but most of them were much less interesting

with some small dings and wear to the wood that I think add rather than detract

Plus there's a keg marked rum sandwiched between these sawing men--one hopes the end of day reward for their labor

Soulful Looking Man in Uniform (Train Conductor?), Old Photo Pocket Mirror Scheier 1950s pottery and I really love thisI like this guy's face and the slant of the brim of his hat, looking to me more naturally inclined toward writing poems than wearing a uniform, but performing his duties with grace nonetheless. I'm not sure from his outfit whether a conductor or captain or postmaster or ?, but my gut tells me a train man which would make the four perfectly horizontal stripes of erosion to the mirror on reverse seem just right like train tracks themselves! 2 3 16" d.
