The upper right corner was neatly cut away at some point but backed with a similar blue so does not especially  jump out

but have learned that sometimes when the leather skin came off a softball

Antique Needlepoint Cat Pillow cat angel Just a nicely shaped oldI believe this light gray against red woolen needlepoint dates to the 19th century, and I love the relative simplicity of the cat, with just two olive green crosses for eyes and no other flourishes. With finely woven cotten linen fabric on the back, sewn by hand to the front with dark red thread. Very large to be a pin cushion, but just the right size to be a cat cushion! 5 3 4 x 7 and in very good, clean condition and very charming.
