A little research led me to discover that John A Manson Company at 253 Broadway in Manhattan (stamped on these copper mounts) was a hardware store

and now are pretty rare to find--after spending a little time building with this one

At any rate, a pretty terrific chicken rooster? I think, with wonderfully graphic, black painted details and the perfect orange painted base.
