Double-Sided Naive Graphite & Crayon Drawing: Girl and Deer, Flowers bird woman un-dyed splint and grass presumedThis is one of a handful of drawings I'm listing by the same (surely quite young) maker, found together in an old notebook already partially disassembled so I went ahead and separated them all. I'd guess 1860s or 70s or so, and all quite wonderful, with the people and animals especially soulful this girl and deer a perfect case in point! but the flowers on reverse really quite full of life too! Crayon was used fairly sparingly in these, making the
