Description
I have a weakness for these 19th c
with a bit of minor scratching to the glass here and there and a few tiny dark spots on the etched forms
I'm not quite sure if the bird was inlaid or just incised very finely and then painted/stained a slightly stronger red--but of it feels now like this happy surprise
I would carefully place this in a float frame
with wear and paint loss as evident
