which  to me express a real sense of care and devotion on the part of the maker

Much Weathered Old Carved Whimsy icon In the basement was theI believe this is just a little whimsy of sorts, carved I'm not sure how, but with the two cross pieces impossible to remove. I love how positively ancient it seems, as if carved then thrown into the ocean only to be retrieved many many years later along with some bits of driftwood. A nice little thing to hold in the hand I think one might consider it an early fidget toy or carry around in a pocket. 2 13 16" (when compressed) x 1 3 4" x 15 16" and in
