they're carved of solid wood

and elevated octagonal playing board with a very expansive 65 holes

Charming Old Hand-carved Wooden Black Dog with Leather Ears white horse in landscape So this is batch #2This sweet guy has a pinkish cow companion, listed separately, but definitely by the same maker. They're both terrific, made of three pieces of wood, with tiny nails showing on the sides. With leather ears, and lots of years, and I especially love the white back feet and tip of the tail. 4 1 2" l x 3 1 4" t x 1 1 8" w and in very good condition, sturdy and steady on his feet.
