(I believe it is made out a wood based composite patented by Hubley as"Huboid"

but I think it would make a great little planter or paperclip holder

I believe they date to the early 20th c

This is a luxuriously large early set, made by the Embossing Co. (Albany, NY), 81 blocks in their original wooden box bottom, and with a custom made wood and cardboard lid to boot. (The original cardboard lid is still here too, split in half but handy for all of the suggestion designs the underside provides.) With the most beautiful
