I've since learned  these types of fertility figures are made by the Sambura people of Kenya and that she is probably just a couple of decades old

just a bit of loss of gold on her fan and a few other minor scrapes here and there

It's definitely seen a lot of use

Hand-painted :"Swedish Exhibit" Cardboard Sign solid I've since learned these typesI dug this sign out of a box at the flea market last week; it struck me that if one were ever to need to paint a sign advertising a "Swedish Exhibit", this would be exactly the sign to make! Blue and yellow like the Swedish Flag, and with hand painted text that, having spent a little time in Sweden, seems to me to perfectly embody Sweden's distinct folky modern mix.
