with a hand and face in pale yellow and hair and perhaps a foot rendered in graphite) represents an angel of sorts

bit I think its all the better for it

I especially love that the these two lovers are joined at both lips and noses--and it certainly feels like their eyes are locked on one another as well

mottled sky blue on the exterior and aqua on the interior--a striking combination

Beautiful Ojibwe Porcupine Quill and Birch Bark Box lidded wood box I think this drawing ofI find quill work pretty incredible (for a long time I did not believe it was actual porcupine quills that were used) but usually the pieces that cross my path (and that I can afford) are in pretty rough shape. Indeed, while porcupine quilling is an ancient Native American art, practiced especially among East Coast and Plains tribes, the difficulty of working with the quills as well as their fragility have made it fairly rare today, largely replaced
