though it still snaps closed at front and holds them safely together just fine

Hand-drawn in blue ink (a few small smears on the leaves of the branch on which the birds sit make it clear this is drawn rather than printed) on cardstock weight board

but either way I assume they'd hand them to a clerk at the Clinton Farmers Exchange to gather the groceries circled

I'm not sure if he was meant to represent a president I'm not recognizing, or a bureaucrat, or who, but he definitely has an officialness about him! Carved of pine. 3 3 4" t x 1 3 4" w x 2" d and in good condition with a great patina; there is a scatter of little surface marks on one short side as documented.
