2018 Mauro Veglio Castelletto, Barolo DOCG, Italy Claude Courtois Winter BananaThis vineyard has the highest proportion of limestone in Barolo, which adds a Serralunga style structure to Monfortes strength. This is mitigated a little by the vineyards altitude, which sits at 400m. The estate has 4 hectares here, but only 1 hectare from selected parcels is used for this wine.
