Antique French Brittany Carved Oak Bench with 16th Century Portrait Panels 1560 Drawings & Prints unable to be properly treatedA rare French Brittany carved oak bench from the late 19th century, fitted with original carved French Renaissance portrait panels from circa, 1560. The bench was constructed in Brittany circa 1890 mainly from ancient timber repurposed from other 16th century furniture, the back is mounted with a pair of finials & two back rails surrounded with a carved frieze and scrolled acanthus brackets to the sides. The armrests are carved with gargoyle head
