Greywacke Marlborough Chardonnay 2022 web-unpublished but made with the sameKevin Judd spent 25 years as the founding winemaker at Cloudy Bay the wine that made Marlborough famous before launching Greywacke under his own name in 2009. The estate takes its name from the greywacke river stones that pave Marlborough's soils. This Chardonnay shows the more serious, Burgundy leaning side of the project: wild yeast fermented and barrel aged for texture and complexity, a world away from simple New World fruit bombs.
