Tricyrtis Fluffy Orchid Banana Plants starting in late June andWe first saw Tricyrtis 'Fluffy Orchid' at the JC Raulston Arboretum, where it blew us away. This amazing selection is most likely a tetraploid, judging by the massive, 7" long x 3" wide, thickened foliage. Most likely, this is a hybrid between Tricyrtis hirta and Tricyrtis formosana. The 3' tall, upright stalks, as well as the upper leaf axils, are topped, starting for us in mid October, with clusters of heavily purple spotted flowers. It originated
